Origins Across Worlds:

Haida Knowledge and the Astrobiology of Early Life
Wendy K’ah Skáahluwaa Todd, Ph.D.

Grounded in Haida knowledge, this talk explores how life is understood through story, place, and the smallest traces preserved in stone. Through the story of Yáahl (Raven) and the arrival of light, we connect cultural teachings with microfossil evidence of ancient and present-day life. Microscopic records reveal Earth’s oldest relatives and shape our cultural responsibility to all life here on Earth and elsewhere, as we explore Mars and Europa, they guide our search across worlds.
