 Solar System Chaos

Saturday, September 5th
7 pm to 8 pm
  • Our solar system appears stable and predictable. However, over millions of years, it is a chaotic dynamical system. Gravitational nudges between planets compound to produce changes that make long term planetary positions unpredictable. It is called the 3-body problem.

  • In addition, the early solar system endured cataclysmic collisions between planets. Evidence of this is present today on Mercury, Venus, Earth, Uranus and our moon.

  • Using our Digital system we will explore Solar System Chaos.

  • Show designed for older teens and adults, but are welcome
