What to Expect at Shows

Shows generally last an hour and include a main topic plus some of the following:

  • Juneau's Night Sky - see how it would look outside if it were a clear night. Viewing constellations currently in the sky and learning about their mythology.

  • Space News - about current astronomical and space exploration events

  • Movies and video clips.

  • Occasionally the show will reflect  holidays such as Halloween and astronomical events, especially those we can observe in Juneau.

  • Topics reflect the interests and knowledge of presenters.

  • Each show is live and not prerecorded.  It is a combination of videos, images, music and is presented by one to three of our knowledgeable staff.

  • Questions are encouraged and the presenter will ask the audience questions, don't be afraid to guess.
  • Audience interaction makes our presentations more fun for presenters and attendees.
  • Presenters may modify their presentation based on audience interactions.
